AIMS & OBJECTIVE:
To train the students to carry out the Laboratory investigation accurately and report to the medical officers which will help them decide on the correct line of treatment for the patient.
Duration of the Course is 2 years.
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Eduation , Kerala , or Examination recognized equivalent thereto, with 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology put together , are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST Candidates.
Candidates who have passed VHSE with 40% marks put together for Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST Candidates.
Candidates who have passed VHSE with Medical Laboratory Technology, Maintenance and operation of Biomedical equipments as well as ECG and Audiometric Technology are firther eligible for the seats reserved for DMLT.
Except for service candidates all other applicants shall have completed 17 years of age and upper age limit is 35.
